Chase Zander supports FOCUS Birmingham (06/09) |
|
The team at Chase Zander is facing the challenge of their year as they gear up to complete the Forest of Dean challenge. The Chase Zander team are usually found either at their desks on the phone or out to client and candidate meetings, but on the 24th July 2009 they will be swapping their office suits for waterproofs, hardhats and walking boots as they navigate their way through the Forest of Dean by trekking, canoeing, climbing and abseiling – blind folded!!! For some these activities are going to be a real challenge, especially one team member who cannot swim! We’ll be testing team work, fitness, skill and shear bravery to complete the gruelling 8 hour course and are camping out the night before and after in the forest which is known to be haunted!! All of this is in aid of their annual charity day and this year Chase Zander is supporting a local charity - FOCUS Birmingham who provide advice, support and care services to individuals with a visual impairment, physical and learning disabilities. The challenge will all be worthwhile for Chase Zander if they succeed in raising £5,000 for FOCUS Birmingham Charity. Chase Zander are relying on support from their candidates, clients and friends and family to raise the much needed donations that will make this year’s charity event a massive success and FOCUS Birmingham rely on donations as the life blood of their worthwhile organisation that makes such a positive difference to the lives of many. As you can imagine sight loss is a frightening and traumatic experience that affects almost every aspect of a person’s life! By supporting Chase Zander, you help enable FOCUS to continue with their current services, whilst also supporting the development of new projects, such as Abilityworks, which is helping people enter the employment market and Wayfinder, which helps people travel around the City independently. Sponsoring Chase Zander is easy through Just Giving, you can pay by credit or debit card, and the money will go directly to FOCUS Birmingham. Where supporters are UK taxpayers, the charity will automatically receive 28% extra in Gift Aid, which makes Justgiving the most efficient way of sponsoring Chase Zander. Change Director Forum meets for 2nd time (11/08) |
|
On the 13th November Change and IT Directors along with senior management involved in Change came together again for Chase Zander?s 2nd Change Director Forum. The event focused on IT-Enabled Change and sparked an interesting debate from the floor into the issues facing change programmes and projects which often rely heavily on the introduction of new information technology.
?We invited an interesting mix of Business and IT professionals from different organisations in the hope to hear perspectives from different experiences and to learn from them. The evening?s discussion was lively and often challenged the experiences of the guest speakers which is exactly what both of our speakers were hoping for as well? says Emily White, Event Organiser, Chase Zander.
The format of the evening?s programme was a mix of practice and theory, with a presentation from Ray Cornish, Director European Business Implementation at ACE European Group Ltd talking about his experiences of Business Led IT-Enabled Change and following that the Forum heard from Dr. Sharm Manwani, Associate Professor of Information Management at the Henley Business School.
The Change Director Forum aims to provide a great opportunity for debate and ideas sharing and also the networking session for change professionals is a big pull for the attendees. ?It was encouraging to see so many faces back from our first event held in June this year. It really is this continued support from our candidates and clients which will see the forum improve and succeed in the future? continued Emily White. The Change Director Forum Report for the November event will be published on this website soon. |

Chase Zander supports Trees For Cities on Corporate Challenge Day (10/08) |
|
This year Chase Zander turned its focus on Corporate and Social Responsibility to its local environment by supporting London based charity Trees for Cities.
The whole team at Chase Zander from both London and Birmingham offices turned out at The Isle of Dogs in London to work on a sustained gardening project for the charity. Weeding, trimming, tidying and planting flowering bulbs in a children?s public park, was the order of the day.
?We were extremely lucky with the weather, planned for one of the coldest week?s of the year so far we were all worried that we would freeze and be miserable, but the sun was shining that day and even though there was a chill in the air, we all had so much work to do that we were actually warm and loved every minute of the experience? commented Emily White, Event Organiser for Chase Zander.
It was important this year for Chase Zander to contribute to a worthwhile charity which supports the environment. The team also felt that this corporate challenge day would be an excellent excuse to get everyone out into the fresh air and doing some exercise!
?Our team was guided by Greg, one of Trees for Cities? gardeners and project manager. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about the project. We had the opportunity to learn something about the work involved and about the charity in general and all came away with smiling faces and a sense of doing something really good for our local community?.
